Can we save Palestine? Or will we allow the extremists -- Arab and Israeli -- destroy that dream?
It's a simple question. I want to save Palestine. I want to eliminate fanaticism and the best way to do that is by creating two-states and removing the option of conflict from the table. But Israeli leaders continue to opt for violence and rejection of peace, baiting the Palestinians into emotion-driven reactions of anger, hatred and violence, too.
But the Israelis are better at it.
Can we save Palestine? I am hoping to organize a conference in Chicago in April to promote a New Strategy to Save Palestine, one that involves strategic rather than emotion-driven rhetoric and actions that fail.
Ali Abunimeh's call for a One-State solution is the allure of poison for our people. One state is what we NOW HAVE, a one-state where the Israeli masters oppress Palestinians and feed the hatred and suffering and provokes violence in response to Israeli violence.
We can stop it through strategic discussion and action intended to strengthen the voice of those who oppose extremism, Israeli and Palestinian.
If you want to support this effort, please go to the Facebook Page and join Yalla Peace.
If we can't at least we tried. And trying is better than feeling sorry for yourself.

If we get enough people, we will launch the conference inA pril. If not, nothing has been lost, except our hope.

Right on, Ray! Sign me up. Let's do it. You know I don't agree with everything you say, but we both know -- better than most -- that saying/writing about it is better than being sorry and frustrated in silence. What can I do on my end to help with your conference?
